Angus Thomas – Portrait Photographer

Angus Thomas started his very early photographic career as a portrait photographer in London and the South East shooting the tricky combination of children and pets. His watershed moment came when shooting three children atop three horses with their three dogs in a ménage lit with flash. Having managed to capture 9 pairs of eyes open and facing the camera, he decided to pursue photography full time. Since this event, Angus has shot many major social, family, music and sporting occasions for both UK and US private & corporate clients.

Historically, portraiture has been the somewhat dull preserve of the main studios, but recent advances in flash technology have enabled pioneer portrait photographers like Angus to use small flash on location. The result is studio quality lit portraits shot on location at a fraction of the costs of studio-based portraiture.

Projects we have undertaken in 2011 include following a rowing reunion group of 56 friends for 7 days culminating in the production of a fabulous book and video, to shooting family and corporate events in London and throughout the UK. Angus’s ability to both shoot discreetly and bring order to rowdy groups has won him the admiration of many clients. He brings his wealth of personal corporate & family life experience to every project and is able to rapidly integrate into your team.
