Being a lifestyle photographer encompasses so many aspects of the art of portrait photography. In many ways it is the greatest photography discipline as it can be both fast moving and studied at the same time, and records a wide range of human behaviour and activity. Angus’s vast range of life experience and professional background has enabled him to shoot in any social situation and he is able to be as discreet or direct as the brief may require. Much of the lifestyle photography projects he shoots initially tend to be shot from the outside looking in – however after a while, particularly in group situations, he becomes a close constituent of the overall team. His images reflect the personal relationship that has been formed before and during the shoot.

As a lifestyle photographer, Angus brings humour, discretion, structure and direction to the lifestyle shoot whether it’s social reportage, events, the CEO on his yacht, or trailing a group of adventurers. His clients in 2011 included major hotels, exclusive tour operators, families, and international businesses. The work ranged from corporate events to trailing touring groups to the UK, shooting international rock bands, documenting local artisans and landmark birthdays.
